Dr. Amanda Salvado grew up in Fullerton, California. She attended UC Berkeley as an Alumni Scholar, where she completed a major in English, a minor in Education, and her premedical basic science training. She then worked in the Organic Chemistry department and studied Biochemistry at Columbia University in New York before applying to medical school.Dr. Salvado received her medical degree in 2003 from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where she was elected president of the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha, and graduated with highest honors. She then attended UCLA, completing an internship in General Surgery and residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. During this time she contributed to research of novel treatments for head and neck cancer. Dr. Salvado was then awarded and completed a fellowship in Laryngology at UCLA.Dr. Salvado is an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA.
