Dr. Anand is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), North American Spine Society (NASS) , Scoliosis Research Society (SRS), Spine Arthroplasty Society (SAS), Society for Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery (SMISS), and Society for Lateral Access Surgery (SOLAS).

Dr. Anand has presented numerous papers at major academic conferences and has been extensively published in peer-reviewed publications, such as the Journal of Spinal Disorders, Journal of Orthopedic Trauma, Spine and the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. He has contributed textbook chapters and educational CD-ROMs for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is an editor for Spine Arthroplasty Society Journal.

Dr. Hyun Bae

Dr. Hyun Bae

Dr. Bae began his medical studies at Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Sciences where he graduated with a degree in biomechanics. He then went on to earn his medical degree, cum laude, at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Bae completed his surgical internship at North Shore University Hospital and his orthopaedic surgical residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. He completed his spine fellowship at Case Western Hospital in Cleveland.

Dr. Bae has written numerous articles based on his research as well as presenting on behalf of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is researching the use of adult stem cells in the regeneration of nervous tissue in spinal cord injuries.

Dr. Sang D. Kim

Dr. Sang D. Kim

Sang Kim, MD, MS is a board eligible spine surgeon at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and The Spine Institute in Santa Monica. He specializes in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, adult spinal deformities, revision spine surgeries, motion sparing cervical disc replacements and laminoplasties, and microsurgical decompression of the cervical and lumbar spine. He also has extensive training in primary and metastatic spine tumors.

Dr. Michael Kropf

Michael A. Kropf, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at the Cedars-Sinai Spine Center, specializing in the treatment of cervical and lumbar disease, disc arthroplasty, scoliosis, deformity and complex spinal reconstruction.

Dr. Kropf’s research on the diagnosis and treatment of spine conditions has led to more than a hundred published peer-reviewed articles and abstracts, and many presentations at national and international conferences.

Dr. Kropf is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society, California Medical Association and Orange County Medical Association. He is a clinical investigator for advanced technologies, including artificial disc replacement, motion preservation and spinal fusion biologics.

Dr. Todd Lanman

A Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Lanman specializes in spine surgery and arthroplasty. In addition to his research experience, he has published more than ten peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on neurological surgery topics and has presented over 25 papers at national and regional medical society meetings. Dr. Lanman earned his medical degree in 1983 from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha honor society in medical school. His post-graduate training consisted of a seven year neurological surgery residency at the University of California, Los Angeles, Department of Neurological Surgery.
